My Lighting Story

Here is a quick overview of My story:

I have a BFA degree from the University of Nebraska, and a MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Arizona. After College I worked with Shakespeare at Spring Green American Players theater, Opera at Texas Opera a Leg of the Houston Grand Opera, Ballet at Hartford Ballet, Small Professional Theater in Massachusetts, with Gloucester Stage Company, and then on Tour with Troika, along with Technical Director at North Shore Music theater.

After touring for several years I landed in Las Vegas to play with Starlight Express at the Las Vegas Hilton. When Starlight closed I worked in Vegas for a short while until Smokey Joes Café, which became a world tour and several off shoots. I worked Smokey Joes as Lighting Director, Designer, TD, Production Manager.

Back in Vegas I have worked too numerous to mention shows and conferences and conventions.

Along the way I worked with Barry Manilow at the Hilton and Paris Las Vegas, running the lighting Department as Lighting Director and D3 Media Servers, and then touring for a Year providing Lighting Director and Video Wall duties, I determined I was to old to continue touring

My media server experience, with Catalyst, Axiom, and D3 flows right into working with Premiere and After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. With my Lighting experience with; TV, Video, Theater, Opera, Ballet and everything in-between, along with the numerous TV events I have been involved with make evolving into Video Production seamless.

I have worked in all sizes of productions, planning, scheduling, Touring, Building, Operating and Running. No show is to Large.
